“It is beauty I seek, not beautiful things.”
From a young age, I have had a very high interest in the arts. Early on, I took drawing and painting lessons from a local highly known and accomplished artist, Sue Hand. A high school performance of “Guys & Dolls” introduced me to the world of theatre, and I have always been an enthusiast since.
I began college as a different major (Psychology and Criminal Justice) and dual athlete, and during my sophomore year, I began to work in the community theatre scene, and learned quickly that the theatrical arts is where I wanted to be and I thrived in the King’s Theatre department, and so I switched to my passion and calling. As of 2020, I began to assist my mentor, and dear friend, in his venture to open his own community theatre from the ground up, with an emphasis on helping the community and fostering the arts in the youth. The theatre (Ovation Playhouse) is now an established name and is doing well.
I am incredibly honored to have had the journey that I have taken, and I am grateful to everyone I have worked with. Theatre is collaborative, and everyone involved has an impact on the shows that are made. My goal in every production that I am a part of is to create a comfortable and fun environment for everyone involved, while still producing the best possible product that we can. There is no mistake that cannot be fixed and learned from, .
